Appointments

To request an appointment Monday to Friday contact us between 7am – 12 noon

  • To request an appointment click on the link and complete the online form
  • Ring us before 12 noon and our reception team will complete the online request form for you
  • Visit the surgery before 12 noon and speak with a receptionist who will complete the online form for you

All requests for appointments are triaged and prioritised by the doctor

We will respond within 2 working days

To request an urgent appointment after 12 noon ring the surgery and your request will be reviewed by the on-call doctor

Home visits

If you are too ill to come to surgery, a home visit can be arranged by telephoning 01282 503900 before 10.00 am if possible, and give the receptionist as much information as possible.

Home visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability and are currently being carried out by a specialist team.

Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit.

To request a routine appointment in the next 7 days

  • Use your NHS account (on the NHS website or in the NHS app).
  • Use an online form  from 7am to 12 noon to request an appointment. We will respond within 2 working days when we are open. We are open Monday to Friday, 8am to 6.30pm.
  • Phone us Monday to Friday, 8am to 6.30pm.
  • Visit the surgery and speak with a receptionist. We are open Monday to Friday, 8am to 6.30pm.
  • Use the NHS App to book a screening test or vaccination.

When you get in touch, we’ll ask what you need help with.

We will use the information you give us to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or health professional to help you.

Your appointment

However you choose to contact us we may offer you a consultation:

  • by phone
  • face to face at the surgery
  • on a video call

Appointments by phone or video call can be more flexible and often means the doctor or nurse can help you sooner.

Cancelling or changing an appointment

Patients who do not attend 3 times without informing us will be sent a warning letter and may be asked to register with another GP

Extended access appointments

We are able to offer appointments at Yarnspinners Health Centre in Nelson, St Peters Health Centre in Burnley and Colne Health Centre.

  • Monday to Friday – 18:30 to 20:30
  • Saturday – 10:00 to 16:00
  • Sunday – 10:00 to 16:00

To book an appointment, call the practice and speak to reception.

If you need help when we are closed

If the situation is an emergency or life threatening, dial 999 and ask for an ambulance.

For urgent medical advice between 6.30pm and 8.30am weekdays, or during weekends and Bank Holidays, use NHS 111.

For children under 5 phone 111.

For people aged 5 and over go to the 111.nhs.uk website.
