Please only attend the surgery if instructed to do so by a member of the practice team.

As you may be aware the surgery is receiving an extremely high number of telephone calls. We can assure you that the phone lines are working completely fine but you may have to wait in the queue for longer than usual. We will answer your call as soon as we can.

Please do not come into the surgery with prescription requests/queries. If you have an issue please telephone the surgery after 10.00am. We will also temporarily be taking prescription requests over the telephone or by email at

You will be asked to nominate a pharmacy so that we can send the prescription straight to them without anyone having to collect them from the surgery. Any one who does not nominate a pharmacy will be asked to provide a stamped self addressed envelope so we can post your prescription to you

We are currently in the process of changing all of our pre booked appointments to telephone appointments. You should either receive a text message, phone call or letter. If you have an appointment booked and you have not had any contact please ring the surgery for more information.

We are currently posting out/sending digitally all sick/fit notes to patients. Please do not come to the surgery to collect or request your sicknote. If you need a sicknote, please telephone the surgery. If you are self isolation and cannot work from home you can get an isolation note from NHS111

Please remember that we are only human and we have feelings. Please remember to treat our staff with respect. We also understand how frustrated you may be feeling at the moment but please remember we are working extremely hard to keep the surgery running using the best up to date advice that we are given.

Over half of our patients do not have a nominated pharmacy set up and so cannot receive electronic prescriptions, if you are one of these please consider nominating a pharmacy as soon as possible. You can nominate any pharmacy to receive your electronic prescriptions, near home or work or where you do your shopping, most pharmacies offer free delivery so if you do have to self isolate there would be no disruption to you getting your medication. Many pharmacies will accept nominations over the telephone.

In this difficult time please allow up to 72 hours for your repeat prescriptions to be processed by the surgery.
